Alan Bridle is Head of Economics & Research for Bank of Ireland, Northern Ireland. After graduating from Queen’s University in 1986 and winning the Adam Smith Prize, Alan joined the Investment Bank of Ireland in Belfast and has held a number of positions throughout the bank including Treasury. Alan is responsible for all of the Bank’s Economic & Market Research, briefings and presentations including The Annual Northern Ireland Economic Assessment and the Quarterly House Price Index. Alan has appeared regularly on the Business slot on BBC Radio’s Good Morning Ulster Programme and had a monthly column in Ulster Business for more than a decade and currently writes for the Irish News Business Insight.

The company continues to expand and intends to be a brand in multiple market sectors including YOTEL! Simon’s much talked about cross between British Airways First Class and a Japanese Capsule Hotel. In 1999 Simon won UK Entrepreneur of the Year along with many other awards including the accolade of Best Venue at the Retailer of the Year Awards. In 2006, Simon was awarded an OBE.
Simon has most recently appeared on the BBC 2 hit programme Dragon’s Den as a panelist and as a result of his entrepreneurial success, his honest attitude towards business and his own inspiring story, Simon is in great demand on the UK and International public speaking circuit.
